Small Tools 1.0 is a collective series of tools I designed and handcrafted to suite my needs in miniature bookbinding. Inspired by traditional trade tools used in gothic bookbinding, these pieces were made to serve as the first working drafts of a personal design that continues to evolve. When they are not on display in gallery, they are used to make my miniature books.

Big Tools is a growing collection of full-sized tools designed and handcrafted not only for the sake of sculpture, but for my personal daily use in binding full-sized, traditional books. Inspired by the traditional trade tools used in gothic bookbinding, the piece you see featured here is made of a gorgeous, repurposed red cedar and acts as a cradle for aligning and hole-punching pages by hand.
